When a sample of Gonzalo's coffee first hit our cupping table, there was suspicion this lot was a gesha. Notes as we slurped included intense, floral, red grape, tropical fruit, apple and bubble gum. So when we found out this lot was actually a washed caturra, our interest peaked - this is not a set of notes we'd typically associate with the caturra.
Needless to say, we jumped on the opportunity to contract for this microlot! Gonzaolo grows his coffee on his farm Buena Vista, high in the hills of the prized growing region of San Augustin, Huila. Clearly, Gonzalo takes great care in picking and processing. Intensely sweet floral aromatics are followed in the cup with juicy red grape and tangerine. Delicious, beautiful coffee - grab some before it is gone!
