The remote Incahuasi valley is home to some of the best coffee in Peru, partly due to the high altitude of this region. Américo's farm, Kuquipata, sits at a staggering 7200 ft above sea level, not far from the snow capped Choquesapra peak.
This altitude with careful agronomy, harvesting and processing is combination that leads to some pretty stellar coffee. The fragrance of this lot is cola sweet and in the cup there is a vibrant apple like acidity that weaves its way through a silky smooth cup of chocolate and caramel. Delicious, and perhaps impossible to stop at one cup.
