Duromina is back and kicking off the new crop Ethiopia season with a bang! When we wax eloquent about coffees from Ethiopia, our conversation usually revolves around floral perfume, stone fruits, and sugars. It is fitting that the birthplace of coffee produces some of the most beautifully floral and sweet smelling coffees in the world. This lot from the Duromina Cooperative is a wonderful example. Grown at a whopping altitude between 6233 and 6889 ft in southwest Ethiopia, a little over 100 small scale producers contribute their fruit to this co-op. The floral aromatics are stunning, and can be found in the cup as well, playing nicely with notes of white peach and lemon drops. A beautiful coffee to welcome the warmer days of spring. Enjoy!
