Our third year sharing Carlos’s pink bourbon.

We taste

raspberry jam, plum, dark honey

...in this coffee.

We’ve been sharing selections of Carlos’s pink bourbon for three years now and are delighted to offer this new gem. Carlos, along with his wife Patricia, grow coffee on their farm El Recuerdo, high in the hills above the beautiful town of Pitalito.

As with all great washed pink bourbons, expect the aromatics to be intensely sweet and floral fresh off the grind.  The floral notes carry over into the cup as well and are joined by raspberry jam, and darker fruit notes like plum – all wrapped up in a dark honey sweetness and juicy acidity.  Consistently great coffee from a consistent coffee producer. Enjoy!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
