professional partnership ultimately leads to some darn tasty coffee.
We taste
mission fig, plum, chocolate
...in this coffee.
Luisa Siles has been working in coffee for 65 years now and for the last six has been working with our import partners, Caravela, to improve management processes and processing techniques. The combination of decades of experience, determination, and professional partnership ultimately leads to some darn tasty coffee.
This honeyed process lot leads to a more fruit forward profile. Fresh of the grind we are smelling dark fruit notes like mission fig and berries. Fig carries over into the cup as well and is joined by sweet plum and milk chocolate. During the season of fresh crop lots from Central America, this will be one of only two chances to buy a bag from Nicaragua. If you like a fruitier cup, grab a bag!

Transparency Information
We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
