We taste

brown sugar, raisin, white peach

...in this coffee.

Manos de Mujeres is an all women sub-group of FundaciĆ³n Agraria y Ambiental Para el Desarrollo Sostentible, an organic certified co-op whose focus is environmental sustainability. One unique feature of this area is that the towns are typically so high in elevation that one walks downhill to reach the farms. After harvest, the coffee is pulped and then mechanically dried.

This lot fresh off the grind has aromatics of warm brown sugar. Loads of sugar carries over in the cup as well and is joined by dark fruit notes like raisin and a lovely peach like acidity. There’s a lot to love about this coffee – produced by women, grown organically, and being pretty darn tasty. Ā Grab a bag and enjoy!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
