Its been a while since we've offered a coffee from El Salvador so we were delighted to find this gem grown by José Rodriguez! José's farm, Finca Talquezalar can be found in the northern department of Chalatenango, just south of the Honduran border. José has been working full time in coffee for 15 years now and has learned a thing or two about quality along the way. His coffee is wet processed, dry fermented, and then dried on raised beds, being turned every 30 minutes. This uniform drying, no doubt, leads to uniformity in the cup as well and we are duly impressed with the outcome. Comfort coffee for sure, you'll find milk chocolate and darker fruit notes like dates, mingling nicely with an apple pear like acidity. Balanced, sweet, pure and very moreish.
