Just north of Nairobi, Nyala Estate sits high in the hills of the Kiambu region. Whereas most of the coffee grown in Kenya is by small producers, Nyala has long been established as a larger estate, and produces some pretty fantastic coffee! This particular lot stood out on the cupping table, and to us is an outstanding example of the more traditional Kenyan cup profile - intense, big body, big sweetness, citrus notes like grapefruit, and cedar aromatics - all combining to provide a lovely start to the Kenya season!
