Its been a long time coming, but this is the first coffee from Burundi that we've ever offered.  Not only is the lot made up of the esteemed red bourbon variety, but it has been processed with a controlled yeast fermentation. What this means is that most of the microbes breaking down the fruit during the fermentation stage are a special strain of yeast. Want to learn more? We are tasting darker fruit notes like cherry, with some lovely mandarin orange acidity, and a black tea note that weaves its way through the coffee from hot to cold.
