It's been a long time coming, but Sambewe together with its sister lot Magwila, are the first two coffees we've ever offered from Tanzania as single origins. And both are delicious!

Sambewe is a co-op of 344 small plot farmers near the town of Mbeya. Each farmer's harvest ends up at the Sambewe washing station where the coffee is wet milled, dried and separated into Grades 1-3. This grade 1 lot is exceptional with floral aromatics and citrus notes like ruby red grapefruit. We are also tasting lovely flavors of sweet baked apple and pomegranate. Complex, lively, and sure to brighten the coldest of winter days.
