Its been about 5 months since we last offered a coffee from Central America, so you can imagine, our eyes light up when we hear news of new crop gems arriving in US ports. And our first 2019 offering is a stunner from Guatemala! Santos Bautista grows this beautiful coffee on his farm San Emiliano, high in the mountains of the San Marcos department (7200 ft above sea level). Intensely sweet and pure aromatics hint at the good things to come, and the liquid nectar does not disappoint. We are tasting a range of fruit notes from grapes to berries, with a central guava spine. Add loads of sweetness and a medium/full body and you have a wonderfully complete, satisfying cup to jumpstart the season of Centrals. Enjoy!
