We taste

brownie, cola, white grape

...in this coffee.

We are excited once again to share a tasty micro-lot from our friend Hermenegildo Marin! Hermenegildo grows his coffee on his farm Árboles de Guajes, a farm inherited from his parents. The farm remains a family run endeavor as his sons help with pruning, planting and shade control, while his wife helps during the harvest and drying season. Hermenegildo and his family’s ongoing commitment to quality is once again evident in this delicious cup of coffee.

Fresh off the grind the aromatics are intense and reminiscent of brownie batter. Rich chocolate notes carry over into the cup as well and are joined by a cola sweetness and a sparkling white grape acidity. If you are looking for a comfort coffee with big sweetness and impeccable balance, look no further!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
