This small lot of the chiroso variety is incredible!
We taste
plum syrup, strawberry, mango
...in this coffee.
Looking for a special gift for the coffee lover in your life (yes, this can be yourself!)? This small lot from the chiroso variety is an incredible option that won’t break the bank, but tastes like it must have.
Stiven Rojas recently took over the operation of his cousin’s farm, El Proceso where this beautiful coffee grows. The chiroso variety, like the gesha variety, has direct Ethiopian roots. This specific lot, however, is far better than most geshas we have tried recently!
Fresh off the grind the aromatics are deeply sweet and reminiscent of plum syrup with a floral perfume quality. Ripe plum can be found in the cup as well and is joined by berry notes like strawberry and tropical fruit notes like mango. Wrap all of this up in a deep sugarcane sweetness and crisp but lingering finish and you have a gem not to be missed out on!
Transparency Information
We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
