Los Idolos
A fantastic springtime comfort coffee!
We taste
toffee, nougat, white grape
...in this coffee.
Los Idolos (named for a mysterious pre-Colombian burial site in the area), is a blended lot from a group of producers who grow their beautiful coffee around the headwaters of the Magdalena River, in the municipality of San Agustin. This group’s commitment to quality is paying off and we are happy to share this tasty selection with you.
Just after grinding, the fragrance is toffee sweet and floral. First sips are lively and bright with chocolate and nougat mid tones. As the coffee cools we are tasting malic-like fruits like white grape and crisp apple. For those of you looking for a deliciously balanced springtime comfort coffee, Los Idolos should be your go to.

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
