Jose Martinez
Another beautiful pink bourbon lot!
We taste
floral, pink lemon-aid, pluot
...in this coffee.
Jose grew up on a coffee farm, but at the young age of 16 left his home to become a bus driver. He spent the next ten years learning the roads of his beautiful country, but the call of home and the desire for a more stable life, eventually drew him back to his roots. Jose purchased his father’s farm, where his innovation and passion for excellent coffee has led to some very tasty results which we are excited to share with you.
This pink bourbon lot is stunning! Right off the grind the aromatics are intensely sweet and floral. In the cup we are tasting fruit punch – like if lemon-aid were mixed with stone fruit and cherry juice. Wrap all of this goodness up in full body and you are in a for a special treat! This lot is tiny so grab a bag before it’s gone!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
