Cerrado

Our second offering from Brazil for 2024!

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

We taste

dark chocolate, blackberry, red wine

...in this coffee.

We traditionally have not offered many coffees from Brazil, but recognize that the price point for coffees from Brazil can be pretty darn attractive for people looking for tasty coffee that doesn’t break the bank.

This community lot from the Cerrado region is pretty darn impressive, especially if you like coffees with a more fruit forward profile. Fresh off the grind the aromatics are pleasantly fruity with dark fruit notes like blackberry and cranberry predominating. The berries carry over into the cup as well and are joined by dark chocolate and a lovely red wine finish. If you love fuller bodied, chocolatey coffees with darker but not overpowering fruit, this coffee will definitely impress!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
