We taste

floral, pink lemonade, pomelo

...in this coffee.

We’ve been purchasing beautiful lots from the Imbachi Family for over ten years, and continue to believe they produce some of the best coffee in Colombia. So when we saw our first sample of pink bourbon from the Imbachi’s arrive, we were needless to say, very excited.

If there is anything that defines coffees from the fam, it’s a deep sugarcane sweetness that begins in the aromatics and prevails in the cup.  This pink bourbon lot is no exception.  The aromatics are super sweet and floral, and a lovely pink lemonade note dominates the cup with a pomelo-like acidity shining from hot to cold. This is a delicate, floral and super sweet gem that you don’t want to miss!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
