A sweet gem from Johnny!

- +

We taste

honey, white peach, apple crisp

...in this coffee.

We are happy to say that this lot marks five years of purchasing coffee from Johnny and his farm Corazon de Jesus! We are also super excited that Johnny will be visiting us this October as part of our Meet the Producer events.

While much of Johnny’s coffee is processed using natural and honey methods, Johnny is kind enough to continue to provide us with a delicious washed lot. If there is anything that defines his washed lots, its that they are super sweet and this year is no exception.

Fresh off the grind the aromatics are honey sweet. In the cup there is a lovely white peach note from hot to cold mingling nicely with an apple crisp finish. If you love sweet, clean, crisp, and balanced lots from Central America, look no further than this gem!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
