An anaerobic Sidra lot from esteemed producer, Juan Peña!

We taste

blackberry, papaya, kiwi

...in this coffee.

We’ve been purchasing lots from Juan Peña’s famed farm, Hacienda la Papaya, for many years now and we are delighted to offer another stunner! This year, we purchased an anaerobic Sidra lot and are sharing it in our special 6oz bags.

As always we are impressed with the big sweetness that comes with Juan’s coffee and this year is no exception.  Fresh off the grind you will find lovely dark fruit notes of blackberry. In the cup there is a lovely assortment of tropical fruit notes from papaya to kiwi. If you love coffees on the more fruit forward side that remain clean and balanced, this lovely Sidra will impress!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
