Luis Camacho

Loads of fruit in this pink bourbon gem from Luis Camacho!

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

We taste

fruit punch, raspberry, bing cherry

...in this coffee.

Pink bourbons, in general, are often standouts on a cupping table for their intense, super sweet and floral aromatics. So when a pink bourbon stands out against other really nice pink bourbons, you take notice!  Contracting for this lot was a no brainer and we are delighted to share this small micro-lot from Luis’s farm, La Palma, with you.

Luis Camacho puts great attention to detail on how he processes this beautiful coffee, and the controlled extended fermentation leads to BIG fruit notes. Fresh off the grind the aromatics are like fruit punch. In the cup we are finding a mix of fruit notes as well – from raspberry to bing cherry. Add to this big sweetness and heavier body and this gem will put a smile on your face as drip or espresso.

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
