We taste

nougat, caramel apple, golden kiwi

...in this coffee.

Maribel grows her beautiful coffee on her farm, Pacayniyoc, high in the Yanatile Valley north of Cusco. She is part of a growing group called Valle Inca, led by Jose Prudencio Saenz Vargas, who for years has been dedicated to specialty coffee and ensuring those within this group are paid excellently for their high quality coffee.

We are delighted to share Maribel’s lot with you and if you like sweet, balanced, comfort coffees, then this one is definitely worth grabbing! Fresh off the grind we are smelling lovely nougat sweet aromatics. In the cup a caramel sweetness persists from hot to cold and is joined by notes of apple and golden kiwi. Stay in your pj’s, slip on your fuzzy slippers and ease into your day with a cup of Maribel’s delicious coffee in your mug.

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
