Great for cold brew, drip or espresso!

We taste

floral, red grape, caramel

...in this coffee.

This year’s first version of Migration Blend took a bit longer to launch as we’ve been awaiting the heavier hitting lots from Ethiopia. With the arrival of Gure Kesso from western Ethiopia, we’ve been able to create a really tasty blend which also includes our first arrival from Guatemala for the year!

This is our seventh season of Migration which launches in the spring each year and finishes up in the fall, with a few versions in-between.  We create the blend to be an excellent option for cold brew, but encourage everyone to try it as drip or espresso – especially if you love coffees from East Africa.

At 70% of the blend, the Gure Kesso brings wonderful floral notes, big sweetness and a lovely citrus acidity. Rudy Castillo, our fresh lot from Huehuetenango, at 30% builds sweetness and complexity while providing a more malic like quality to the blend. Together, we are still finding plenty of floral notes with red grape and a deep caramel sweetness.

Whether you are looking for an amazing option for cold brew, or love drip or espresso, Migration 7.0 should be a go to throughout the warm/hot days of spring, summer and fall!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
