Nensebo
Our last offering from Ethiopia until next harvest!
We taste
jasmine, peach, dark honey
...in this coffee.
As Sweet Bloom’s season for offering coffees from Ethiopia comes to an end, we are stoked to share one last absolute gem with you from the Nensebo washing station! About 850 small plot (2-5 hectares each) farmers bring their harvest to Nensebo to be processed, and then dried under parabolic shade for 5-7 days. The results are stunning and this coffee is a standout!
Fresh off the grind we are finding a lovely mix of candy and flowers in the aromatics. In the cup, the floral notes translate to jasmine, and are joined by peach and a hint of berries – all wrapped up in a dark honey sweetness with layered mouthfeel. If you love washed coffees from Ethiopia, this one is a no brainer, and for us, the last of the season – so stock up and enjoy!

Transparency Information
We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
