Our second offering from Rodrigo Sanchez in 2025 is a stunning washed gesha!

We taste

silver needles, peach, lemon-lime

...in this coffee.

The second release from Rodrigo in 2025 is a special washed gesha lot from his farm Monteblanco. What Rodrigo has accomplished since he started in coffee at the age of 15, is nothing short of extraordinary. In the past decade he has pushed the boundaries of coffee processing, and has become increasingly known for his co-fermentation projects which have gained wild appreciation worldwide.

But this lot is not co-fermented and we are happy to share with you a gesha from Rodrigo that is more true to its terroir.

Fresh off the grind the aromatics are sweet, floral and intense. In the cup, we are finding flavors of lavender, white tea, and peach with a lively lemon-lime acidity. Complex, sweet and at a fantastic price point for a gesha of this quality. With Rodrigo’s pink bourbon still on our offering, this would be a great time to grab a bag of each to compare two varieties from the same producer. Enjoy!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
