...in this coffee.

El Salvador proudly boasts the creation of the pacamara variety which is a cross between the pacas and maragogipe varieties. First created in 1958, pacamaras are now one of the most common varieties found in El Salvador, known for their excellent quality (and quite large seed size).

We’ve been offering Vicente’s pacamara for a number of years now and are happy to share it again with you. Fresh off the grind the aromatics are sweet and chocolatey. In the cup there is a lovely malic acidity dancing around notes of peach and caramel apple. Sweet, balanced and just right for waking you up to the cooler fall mornings!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
