Rigoberto Herrera
it won’t last long so grab a bag quick!
We taste
honeysuckle, raspberry, guava, concord grape
...in this coffee.
After 12 years of sharing coffees from Rigoberto Herrera, it feels like he need’s no introduction. But here we go! We are honored, once again, to share with you one of the most beautiful coffees in the world from one of the most renowned and loved producers in the world. Our beloved friend Rigo continues to push the boundaries of coffee excellence, and this time it is in the form of a natural Sidra variety grown on his farm Las Margaritas.
Fresh off the grind we are smelling intense notes of raspberry and honeysuckle. In the cup, a deep complexity of flavor ranges from tropical fruits like guava, to dark fruits like concord grape. Perhaps most remarkable is the sparkling crisp grape-like acidity that resonates from hot to cold. Add to this a sugarcane sweetness throughout and you are tasting one of the finest examples of coffee that Colombia and the world has to offer. This is a small lot and at this price, it won’t last long so grab a bag quick!

We buy, roast, and sell coffee. On a surface level, this sounds simple enough. But buying coffee in a way we are proud of and in a way that those who buy our coffee are proud of is often complex, challenging, and hard work. We find ourselves on a continuum of buying and selling that progresses towards more sustainable, meaningful and equitable relationships. The chart below provides basic information for each lot on where we are on this journey.
